The Midlife Guy raises a good point with regard to the word 'crisis'.  Is that word a little negative?  Too harsh?  should we use other words like 'change' or 'transformation'?

For each of us, deciding when a 'slump' becomes a 'crisis' is going to be different for each of us.  There is no central authority to tell you when you have crossed the line from 'blues' to 'crisis'.
